Encouraged by His Spirit

A reflection on trusting God with the journey

My Bible verse for today is

“For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” — Hebrews 6:10 (NKJV)

What a wonderful promise from our Lord. He sees us. He encourages us when we do His work, and He speaks to us through the Holy Spirit.

If there was any doubt about the journey I’ve begun, there isn’t now. Today’s verse was a sweet and timely reminder of the path I’m walking with melcurates.com—this faith-filled space for writing, creative designs, and encouragement. I truly believe it’s the Spirit of the Lord confirming that the work I’ve begun is the right path.

We’ve been taught that once we put our hand to the plough, we must not look back. In other words, once we begin a work for the Lord, we must keep going. Even when we grow tired or discouraged, He is there—supplying our needs and refreshing our spirits.

We just need to stay alert in the Spirit. To receive. To hear that small, still voice.
I’m still learning to listen—to wait for it—and in the waiting, to keep going.
Especially when reassurance comes—if you’re willing to receive it.

I am. It came. In the form of a Bible verse this morning.

Happy Sunday.
Take a few moments to commune with God.
May you rest in the knowledge that God loves you.

“…that you… may be able to comprehend… what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge…” — Ephesians 3:18–19
